We are THRILLED to announce that we'll be playing at Nextdoor in Chinatown on Saturday, February 4! We join fellow local bands Cmplxhi, No Hero and Candy in opening up for Las Vegas' Worse For Wear. Tickets for this 21+ show are $10 in advance through Eventbrite and $15 at the door. We look forward to seeing you there!
We wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas (and a Happy Hanukkah from Josh) with this acoustic rendition of "Merry Christmas Darling" by the Carpenters.
We had an amazing time playing at KTUH on 11/28! Here are snippets of three previously unreleased tracks that we played on the show, set to a slideshow of some pics we took while we were there!
On November 28,2022, Infrared Rabbit returns to Monday Night Live on KTUH, this time as a full band! It's been a few years since Michelle and Kayseph played there as a duo and we are ready to rock! Tune in at 90.1 FM or online at KTUH.ORG–the only station that loves you!
It's so good to be back! We loved entertaining the packed house at Anna O'Brien's and both The War Pigs and Cesspool Democracy were incredible bands to share the stage with. Here are a few vids from the night!
On November 19,2022, Infrared Rabbit will play our first post-pandemic show at Anna O'Brien's with The War Pigs and Cesspool Democracy!
Infrared Rabbit is a 4-piece melodic rock band from Honolulu, Hawaii. Michelle Boudreau (vocals) and Kayseph (guitar) started out as an acoustic duo in 2012 focusing on original compositions and performing at places like Nextdoor, Station Bar, the Dragon Upstairs, Anna O’Briens, and even Hawaiian Brian’s main stage. Joshua Edelstein (bass) and Daniel Hohu (drums) joined in 2014. Kayseph’s unique chord compositions and progressions, coupled with Michelle’s powerful and endearing vocals helped to establish Infrared’s unique style early on. Josh’s melodic bass lines and Daniel’s aggressive drum style would help round out this sound to create Infrared’s signature hard rock sound that’s both soulful and heavy at times.
Infrared Rabbit independently released two albums in October 2015: one rock album entitled Darker, and one acoustic album entitled Infrared Light. While Michelle and Kayseph had written around 20 songs in the band’s early years, only half were fully produced as rock songs for Darker with some of the remaining songs added to the Infrared Light album. The band is currently writing new material and looking to start recording an EP in mid to late 2023.
Infrared Rabbit has performed at various venues throughout Honolulu such as the Republik, Honolulu Night Market, Hawaiian Brians, Anna O'Briens, Station Bar, and the Hard Rock Cafe. The band took a break from performing after playing in the Hard Rock Rising 2017 competition and has recently re-emerged after 5 long years with their first show back at Anna o’ Brien’s Rockfest on November 19. While an earlier return was contemplated and new songs written in the years off, COVID definitely delayed a sooner return.
